I enjoy Looking Down from the window of an aircraft, while flying, watching the changing topography and the landscape below. During my residency at Santa Fe in 2006, I stained handmade paper, left over from a workshop with natural dyes. Years later the shapes and forms resonated with the maplike formations seen from above, the clouds, rivers, land formations. I worked on these with pen and ink and water-colours to create this body of work.
